For Perl packages I suggest using the PkgConfig = buildPerlPackage rec {
name = "PkgConfig-0.19026";
src = fetchurl {
url = "mirror://cpan/authors/id/P/PL/PLICEASE/${name}.tar.gz";

I hadn't seen that in the nixpkgs manual, but now I do - I'll use this from
now on.
Many thanks for the pointer!

Hi Robert,
Sorry to ask this question in response to our prior email thread, but I
wanted to quietly ask if there's a process for escalating/appealing "stuck"
PRs? I've searched online and haven't found anything apart from discussions
about how and why they get stuck.
In short I have two very simple PRs that have been waiting 3+ weeks:
- #36914
- #36915
Do you have any advice on how to un-stick them?
Many thanks,
