We need to put together documentation on all the systems from Kopernicus and what all the options do.

Do you plan to use GitHub wiki? (I think yes - just curious :) )

@seanth I see you put some examples on the wiki

I always thought a good idea would be to make a table with all the necessary info for each parameter used by kopernicus for every node.

I never had the time to do it myself but if you want to make some I'll gladly readproof them

something like this:

Orbit

Parameter Format Description
referenceBody string the 'name' of the parent body
this parameter needs to be defined
semiMajorAxis meters the semimajor axis of the orbit
eccentricity ≥0 & <1 the eccentricity of the orbit

... etc ...

@Sigma88 : sure, I can put things in a table format.

I need to stress there's a fair number of parameters that I don't actually know what they do. At this point I'm looking for example and tutorials that explain what parameters do. This means that in some cases I can put the parameter name in, and can put the format type in (int, float, string, etc), but the description will be less than helpful.

@seanth don't worry, I can fill up the missing pieces, feel free to ping me when you have doubts about stuff, I can help you with those.

I'm not doing this myself because I have little time, but fixing would require much less time than writing everything from zero

OK. I have put info up for ScaledVersion{} and ScaledVersion{Light{}} in table form. There are areas I couldn't fill in, but those are in table form. I'll circle back to Properties{} and PropertiesScienceValues{}} and make tables sometime soon.

Appreciate any work put into the Wiki as it has helped immensely. If anyone can add example uses to Rings for InnerRadiusMultiplier and OuterRadiusMultiplier degree curves (added in 1.4.2-1) that would be great. I can't seem to find the correct way to use them.

Edit: I addressed this myself once Thomas P. provided the required details.

Sorry, something went wrong.

Hello. Not to be a total noob, but I'd love to add some entries for new parameters I have introduced to the wiki, and I have no idea how to edit it. Is there something I'm missing?
EDIT: Found the wiki repo on github.

Sorry, something went wrong.

Now that the official forums (and all that wonderful info) is dead and gone, is there any chance any of it has been saved and can be uploaded to the wiki? All the beginner tutorials are gone. All of the cool advanced / intermediate stuff is gone. There are massive holes in the knowledge base due to Take Two being ****s and now people are lost for the help/knowledge those forums held.

Sorry, something went wrong.

We do have a few users who backed up the forum as a static image, myself included. We are waiting on an official statement from T2 before posting them on a publicly accessible server, but plans are in the works.
