Ubuntu 18.04 Sublime Text Bug #2284
Comments
You forgot to include what version of Sublime Text you are using and what architecture (32 or 64 bit). |
For what it's worth, I just opened a folder in ST 3168 on Ubuntu 18.04 (which is only available for 64 bit architectures) and it didn't crash. I'm guessing the OP's crash was fixed in 3167, which has a changelog entry:
|
I think I'm having the same issue, although Sublime doesn't crash but just freezes and just waits there to be killed. It happens when invoking open/save file dialog in any way, eg. by hitting Open File, Open Folder or Save As options from menu. Sublime Text version 3.0 build 3143 Just tried 3168 and as @keith-hall stated, it doesn't happen anymore! :D/ |
Same issue with build 3143 and snap package. *** Error in `/snap/sublime-text/7/sublime_text': malloc(): memory corruption: 0x0000000002ba8ca0 *** |
Similar problem here. When opening it's all ok, but when "save as" it freezes and waits for me to kill the app. |
If you have a license, you may want to try build 3173, some crash bugs were fixed, probably including this one |
Not able to buy a license (yet). Removed snap, installed from apt-get adding site's repository, works as a charm now. Thanks anyway |
Hmm, I would try not using unofficial sources. It is going to be hard for us to try and support them. |
Sorry, I wasn't clear; I added the file "sublimetext.list" containing the text "download.sublime-text.com/ apt/dev" to mi "/etc/apt/sources.list.d" folder, thus downloading and installing directly via sublime-text's site repo and not from the snap. Now it works fine |
Sorry @SimonLKP, I did understand you. Based on your report about the snap issue, I made my comment mostly for @Dremon and @dixiematt8. |
It seems this was resolved, closing. |
