Thank you for submitting this pull request. CUPS 2.2.6 source is still available under the original URL (I just checked). The download error you apparently experienced seems to have been temporary. I am going to close this because Version 2.3b5 is a beta version, which we try to avoid in nixpkgs for important packages like CUPS. However, we could upgrade CUPS to released version 2.2.8. Thank you for your extensive reply and advise. I'll look into a PR towards staging later this weekend, and be more considerate in the future regarding these basic packages. |
