We cannot use fetchpatch while building our default version of openssl, because fetchpatch needs openssl: infinite recursion.
There is a massive patch at [1] that apparently adds support for version 1.1.x, but that patch looks to scary, IMHO; I'd rather wait for upstream to add proper support. [1] https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/openssh/blob/fffad0579c5aa8c634ef50cd7b290d743e1a5471/f/openssh-7.3p1-openssl-1.1.0.patch
