We cannot use fetchpatch while building our default version of openssl, because
fetchpatch needs openssl: infinite recursion.
There is a massive patch at [1] that apparently adds support for version 1.1.x,
but that patch looks to scary, IMHO; I'd rather wait for upstream to add proper
support.
