We usually use optionalString instead of if … else "" for readability: optionalString cfg.emptyRepo "-e"

Motivation for this change
This should fixes some issues since all configs are set using
--localwhich does not use the daemon.This PR also adds an option to init the repo without creating a sample folder that contains a README and a bunch of other demo files.
