Archiveror needs several permissions to function properly. For some permissions you will see a warning. Here a short explanation why they are needed.

Read and change all your data on all websites you visit

This is required to locally save a page in MHTML format. Nothing is modified and the pages are only read when you save it yourself or bookmark a page when in local archive mode.

In addition this permission allows the add-on to send archive requests to archive.is, archive.org etc.

Read and change your bookmarks

  • to know when you make a new bookmark, so the page can be archived
  • to be notified when bookmark structure changes

Manage your downloads

  • Download local archives of pages

Access your browsing activity

  • to create new tabs
  • to know which tabs are already archived

Store unlimited amount of client-side data

To store the archive links of your bookmarks. It's unlimited so this works even if you have an enormous number of bookmarks.
