This exporter provides many bind9 metrics for prometheus.

Motivation for this change

bind_exporter is not available in NixOS :-)
Package is packaged in the same way as e.g. node_exporter, but with a hash instead of a tag (bind_exporter has only a repo and no real versioning yet)

Things done

Tested with nix-build -A nixpkgs.tarball nixos/release-combined.nix

  • Tested using sandboxing
    (nix.useSandbox on NixOS,
    or option build-use-sandbox in nix.conf
    on non-NixOS)
  • Built on platform(s)
    • NixOS
    • macOS
    • Linux
  • Tested compilation of all pkgs that depend on this change using nix-shell -p nox --run "nox-review wip"
  • Tested execution of all binary files (usually in ./result/bin/): installed it to my .nix profile
  • Fits CONTRIBUTING.md.

This exporter provides many bind9 metrics for prometheus.
