Summary

I just updated sublime to the new version and my wacom tablet stopped working properly

Expected behavior

Screen should only scroll while pressing lateral button of the wacom pencil

Actual behavior

Since new version, i'm,stuck on scroll mode, i scroll up and down on the opened document without pressing any button, just by moving the pen. It works perfectly while using the touchpad or mouse.

More notes:

  • Mouse icon changes to double up-down arrow when using graphic tablet
  • It still works to click over the options (file, edit, find, view...)
  • It does not work if trying to click over the ctrl+F menu

Steps to reproduce

  1. Use an outdated version of sublime. Enjoy the best text editor ever made
  2. See the "new version ready" alert. Update
  3. From the very first moment the new version is opened (build changelog) have a crazy scrolling screen only by moving the wacom pen
  4. Go to the issues rep and cry for help

Environment

Windows 10 64 bit
Sublime build 3143
Full working Intuos wacom draw graphic tablet

Thank you!

Same here! I have an old CTH-460 and after update I've got stuck in scroll mode so I've downgraded Sublime to 3126.
P.S.
Does Sublime use some code from Chromium (Chrome) since they gracefully made my Waco unusable so I've had to kill their browser from my computer?

I'm guessing the changes in 3127 affect your wacom tablet? #691

Same here, Windows 10 build 1703, Wacom Intuos A4 and driver v6.3.24-2.

Same for me. After the update I'm not able to use my tablet any more. Config: Win10, Wacom Bamboo CTH-470 and CTH-480

Same issue. Win 10 64bit, Wacom driver 6.2.0 (old driver, because of old Intuos tablet)

I know that solving this issue is not a priority (f*** those weird graphic-tablet users) , but a little "Bug" red label would be nice ;) just to know that eventually it will be solved 💅

And 5 comments is actually not a bad proportion of users having this issue (considering the name of comments on other priority issues...)

Same issue here. When using the pen on my Wacom Intuos Pro (Windows 10) the content scrolls whenever I move over the text. Also the scroll wheel on my tablet doesn't work.

Using the finger-touch possibility of the tablet I can move the mouse cursor as wanted, but with the pen it enters some kind of autoscrolling mode.

Very annoying and making the program unusable.
Please fix this!

Same here. In all apps and programs in Win10 64-bit the tablet works well, but not in Sublime 3.0, build 3143. Changed to different Wacom drivers, older ones and the latest driver, but al left me stuck in auto-scroll mode. Cannot click, only double-click, but even after that auto-scroll remains. In the folder view and in the code view I have this behaviour. I have a Wacom Intous CTL-490.

Can anyone confirm if this tablet is affected? https://www.amazon.com/Wacom-CTL490DW-Digital-Drawing-Graphics/dp/B010LHRFM2

I'm looking for a cheap option to do debugging on.

That seems to be the tablet that @sebgmc is using. Thanks for looking into this.

@wbond that's my pen tablet, supercheap, great ease of use. The price in USD is about the same as in EUR. Thnx 4 taking time 2 look @ this bug. If fixed I can continue using my favourite editor with my necessary pointing device :-)

Hey
Try this
I just solved the same problem.

1.Make sure you have the latest Wacom driver installed for your windows desktop (I have windows 10)
2.Open the Wacom control panel (search for it by entering "Wacom Tablet Properties" in Windows search box)
3.Select your pen from the tools
4.Click the Mapping tab
5.In the bottom left corner of that tablet mapping (Unselect the "Use Windows Ink" option.)

@TsengTofu Worked exactly as you described. Thanks for the solution.

Just to inform that this seems to be a Windows 10 only issue (for me at least). I have Sublime 3.0 build 3143 running perfectly with the same tablet in a Windows 2008 R2 64-bit environment. No scroll issues whatsoever. For some of my Windows 10 environments I do not control what modules and functionality is turned on or off, so the Windows Ink setting on/off does not work for me alas :-$

@daddony You can rid off Windows Ink in Photoshop. I tested and now I have a Wacom Tablet + Sublime Text 3143 + pressure in Photoshop CC 2017 :-)

Hi @TsengTofu , your fix works for me as well. I unchecked the use of Windows Ink in the tablet settings and for now I can work with my Wacom Intous CTL-490 and Sublime 3.0 Build 3143. Yeah! Thnx. Hopefully a fix will be available for older tablet users who do not have this option in their settings.
