Subject says it all. The .tar.bz2 for the 64bit build of 3083 actually contains a build that says its 3065.

Where does it say Build 3065? Try opening the console (View -> Show Console) and entering the following:

sublime.version()

What does it return?

That's no good. @FichteFoll do you have jps's contact info? Maybe wbond does? I'm not on Linux at the moment to verify, but if this is the case it's pretty serious, I would say 😬

I just downloaded http://c758482.r82.cf2.rackcdn.com/sublime_text_3_build_3083_x64.tar.bz2 on my Ubuntu 14.10 system, unzipped it into a temp directory, and ran it. It's now reporting Build 3083 from Help -> About Sublime Text, and sublime.version() also returns '3083' on the console, so I think the issue has been addressed. Note that this is not some artifact from my installed ST3, as I have not yet upgraded from 3082.

For reference, some forum research of mine a few weeks ago yielded that jps [[at]] sublimetext.com appears to be Jon's mail address. I do not know if that is still correct because the results were few years old and I haven't contacted him myself.

Edit: I'm not sure if this was an actual packaging fault by Jon or if @chmorgan just accidentally downloaded the wrong file or anything, but I'm still marking this as fixed.
