Instructions to test this update (click to expand)

Either download from Cachix:

nix-store -r /nix/store/lccpzmm1dkpf6k608vfzkx2y788sb33w-vim-8.1.1866 \
  --option binary-caches 'https://cache.nixos.org/ https://r-ryantm.cachix.org/' \
  --option trusted-public-keys '
  r-ryantm.cachix.org-1:gkUbLkouDAyvBdpBX0JOdIiD2/DP1ldF3Z3Y6Gqcc4c=
  cache.nixos.org-1:6NCHdD59X431o0gWypbMrAURkbJ16ZPMQFGspcDShjY=
  '

(r-ryantm's Cachix cache is only trusted for this store-path realization.)

Or, build yourself:

nix-build -A vim https://github.com/r-ryantm/nixpkgs/archive/0fdf3933fb3341904c9f8625c8fd7c14c7dcba17.tar.gz

After you've downloaded or built it, look at the files and if there are any, run the binaries:

ls -la /nix/store/lccpzmm1dkpf6k608vfzkx2y788sb33w-vim-8.1.1866
ls -la /nix/store/lccpzmm1dkpf6k608vfzkx2y788sb33w-vim-8.1.1866/bin

cc @lovek323 for testing.

@mmahut Just for my own education, what do those packages have to do with a vim upgrade? Just a bit confused is are they dependent on vim?

@wkral these packages just failed as a dependency, trying to figure out they are just broken in the tree or because of this update.

Looks not related, we will see what hydra does.

Thanks @mmahut, sorry I was a way for a bit there and couldn't respond. Just couldn't see the connection, but makes sense now.
