Motivation for this change

https://lucene.apache.org/solr/7_7_2/changes/Changes.html#v7.7.2

Things done
  • Tested using sandboxing (nix.useSandbox on NixOS, or option sandbox in nix.conf on non-NixOS)
  • Built on platform(s)
    • NixOS
    • macOS
    • other Linux distributions
  • Tested via one or more NixOS test(s) if existing and applicable for the change (look inside nixos/tests)
  • Tested compilation of all pkgs that depend on this change using nix-shell -p nix-review --run "nix-review wip"
  • Tested execution of all binary files (usually in ./result/bin/)
  • Determined the impact on package closure size (by running nix path-info -S before and after)
  • Ensured that relevant documentation is up to date
  • Fits CONTRIBUTING.md.

Is this not a major version bump? The fact that it has actual update notes suggests to me that we shouldn't backport. If it is indeed reasonable, then why?

@srhb I was under the impression this is a minor release though now that you mention and I have fully reviewed the notes I'm unclear. I'll close this for now, but if I find out this is a standard stable release I'll open again. Thanks!
