Motivation for this change

There has been a new release of languageclient-neovim today with
support for neovim's virttext:
autozimu/LanguageClient-neovim@273e5dc

I am really eager to test it so I tried updating the package but I get
I get "error: no matching package named crossbeam-channel found"
I don't know the rust ecosystem so looking for help here.

Things done
  • Tested using sandboxing (nix.useSandbox on NixOS, or option sandbox in nix.conf on non-NixOS)
  • Built on platform(s)
    • NixOS
    • macOS
    • other Linux distributions
  • Tested via one or more NixOS test(s) if existing and applicable for the change (look inside nixos/tests)
  • Tested compilation of all pkgs that depend on this change using nix-shell -p nox --run "nox-review wip"
  • Tested execution of all binary files (usually in ./result/bin/)
  • Determined the impact on package closure size (by running nix path-info -S before and after)
  • Assured whether relevant documentation is up to date
  • Fits CONTRIBUTING.md.

I think you can solve your error by changing the cargoSha256 attribute to for example 0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000, it should then fail to build with an error showing you the correct cargoSha256 like any other fixed-output derivation (e.g. a package source). Correcting that should solve the dependency not found error, at least it did when I had a similar error in my Rust project. From what I understand the cargoSha256 attribute locks down the Rust dependencies, so it won't find any other dependencies, but I find the error message a bit misleading.

arf I was sure I had updated the hash already :/ Fixed. Tried in neovim and the virttext feature works o/
