Motivation for this change

Removes patch to disable tests, instead runs them in single threaded
mode.

See discussion in MitMaro/git-interactive-rebase-tool#172

Things done
  • Tested using sandboxing (nix.useSandbox on NixOS, or option sandbox in nix.conf on non-NixOS linux)
  • Built on platform(s)
    • NixOS
    • macOS
    • other Linux distributions
  • Tested via one or more NixOS test(s) if existing and applicable for the change (look inside nixos/tests)
  • Tested compilation of all pkgs that depend on this change using nix-shell -p nixpkgs-review --run "nixpkgs-review wip"
  • Tested execution of all binary files (usually in ./result/bin/)
  • Determined the impact on package closure size (by running nix path-info -S before and after)
  • Ensured that relevant documentation is up to date
  • Fits CONTRIBUTING.md.

@masaeedu thank you for following up on this. I've changed the checkPhase with checkFlagsArray and enabled it for darwin, I hope you don't mind.

@marsam Thanks! Could you clarify what the libiconv, Security thing does? I'm unfortunately not very familiar with how stuff for Mac works.

sure, libiconv is an Apple fork of gnu's libiconv and provides iconv() implementation for character set conversion. Security is the darwin API for securing data. IIUC both are required by the libgit2 crate on darwin
