Motivation for this change

Fixing the binary

See #8384

Things done
  • Tested using sandboxing (nix.useSandbox on NixOS, or option sandbox in nix.conf on non-NixOS linux)
  • Built on platform(s)
    • NixOS
    • macOS
    • other Linux distributions
  • Tested via one or more NixOS test(s) if existing and applicable for the change (look inside nixos/tests)
  • Tested compilation of all pkgs that depend on this change using nix-shell -p nixpkgs-review --run "nixpkgs-review wip"
  • Tested execution of all binary files (usually in ./result/bin/)
  • Determined the impact on package closure size (by running nix path-info -S before and after)
  • Ensured that relevant documentation is up to date
  • Fits CONTRIBUTING.md.

Maybe we should suggest upstream to move qpaeq to a separate project/repo. Also https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/pulseaudio/pulseaudio/issues/260

Dunno. For now it seems like fixing the binary is a step in the right direction.

Adding the desktop file, how can that be done properly?

Added desktop, removed unnecessary patch. Let's get this merged ^^

It seems the build failures are all releated to the staging branch itself

Fixed the collision, don't see anything more to do.

aarch64 fails with

error: cannot download libinput-1.15.0.tar.xz from any mirror

looks like it's just a network error, should work after restart
