Motivation for this change

The current version of factorio is quite out of date, meaning that servers run on NixOS will not work with current clients.

Things done

This updates all factorio packages, including factorio, factorio-experimental, factorio-demo, factorio-headless, and factorio-headless-experimental, to the latest version, 0.17.79. Note that as both alpha and experimental are the same version, and will thus output the same package with the same hash.

  • Tested using sandboxing (nix.useSandbox on NixOS, or option sandbox in nix.conf on non-NixOS linux)
  • Built on platform(s)
    • NixOS
    • macOS
    • other Linux distributions
  • Tested via one or more NixOS test(s) if existing and applicable for the change (look inside nixos/tests)
  • Tested compilation of all pkgs that depend on this change using nix-shell -p nixpkgs-review --run "nixpkgs-review wip"
  • Tested execution of all binary files (usually in ./result/bin/)
  • Determined the impact on package closure size (by running nix path-info -S before and after)
  • Ensured that relevant documentation is up to date
  • Fits CONTRIBUTING.md.

LGTM, didn't test though. I have no reservation about the commit message not being $old_version -> $new_version, this is just fine.

Is this being out of date an issue for users of 19.09?

I don't think it's enough of an issue to backport. People who are running factorio servers on NixOS, especially stable, probably override the package manually

Hmm, this is essentially a duplicate #73165

Oh, oops! I didn't notice that existed. If you'd prefer to merge that one, I can close this one.

Thanks anyways, I considered it extra free QA 👍
