Motivation for this change

Add support to gnome 3.36.

Things done
  • Tested using sandboxing (nix.useSandbox on NixOS, or option sandbox in nix.conf on non-NixOS linux)
  • Built on platform(s)
    • NixOS
    • macOS
    • other Linux distributions
  • Tested via one or more NixOS test(s) if existing and applicable for the change (look inside nixos/tests)
  • Tested compilation of all pkgs that depend on this change using nix-shell -p nixpkgs-review --run "nixpkgs-review wip"
  • Tested execution of all binary files (usually in ./result/bin/)
  • Determined the impact on package closure size (by running nix path-info -S before and after)
  • Ensured that relevant documentation is up to date
  • Fits CONTRIBUTING.md.

Could you redo your change for staging so it can be merged when gnome 3.36 merges to master?

Sure @worldofpeace, so should I close this PR and re-open after gnome 3.36 merge?

How can I open a PR to staging? Is a different branch?

I merged it manually to staging-next for you 72e5b2d.
Thanks 👋

You could have used git rebase --onto to change the base branch to staging-next, and then edited this PR to merge to staging-next.
