Memory Leak during Flight Planning 1.12.2, Grothendieck #3124
Comments
Journal output should be available tomorrow. |
What makes you think it's a memory leak? There is not even a Principia crash in that log file. |
2G Journal file uploaded here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/11j8gzr8hEjeNZOHGaN8MCu98Spk9LdvJ/view?usp=sharing So far this problem only happens when a Principia Flight Plan is open. It looks like a memory leak when I run 'top' and watch my free memory dropping. When it gets to close to zero Kerbal crashes. |
Please read Issue #3064 (especially the comments on Jul 19, as well as the most recent comment) as it is directly related to what you report here:
& observe if the over all KSP process memory grows around 1 MB per second (= about 1GB per 20 minutes) while the Flight Plan UI WITH a created flight plan is open on the screen & stops growing within a few seconds of minimizing the Flight Plan UI or deleting the flight plan. Also try the mitigation steps suggested in #3064, to see if you see the same or similar memory growth & release timing patterns for the KSP process run on Ubuntu as I see with KSP run on Windows 10. That indeed would be interesting. Thanks. |
Thanks. If I find anything new I will append it to issue #3064. Closing this as a Duplicate. |

Ubuntu 20.04
KSP crashes completely. No window, no warnings. It even takes out the whole Plasma GUI for a second.
