Here's a 100BASE-FX Ethernet frame sample I captured on my DSO-X 1102G and a multi-mode 100M SFP. In theory it's as simple as taking the 100BASE-TX decoder and replacing MLT-3 with NRZ-I. Everything from 4B5B and up should be identical.

Frame details:

  • Destination MAC: FF:FF:FF:FF:FF:FF
  • Source IP: 192.168.1.1
  • Destination IP: 255.255.255.255
  • UDP Port: 4000
  • UDP Data: "249" (ascii)
