Version of OpenTTD

1.11.0-dev
and
1.9.3

Expected result

If you enter upper-case umlauts like “Ä”, “Ö” or “Ü” in a text field (for example, when renaming a company or vehicle), the letters render properly.

Actual result

If you enter upper-case umlauts, the “dots” on the umlaut are not visible. “Ä” appears as “A”, “Ö” appears as “O” and “Ü” appears as “U”.

Steps to reproduce

Rename your company. Enter any upper-case umlaut like “Ä”. If you're set the language to German, you can make your life easier by using the on-screen keyboard.

Screenshot evidence in 1.9.3.

This image contains a company name with 3 uppercase umlauts. The name is a German nonsense name "Äther-KG Ötzerlitz-Überkirchen”.

Just to confirm that the bug reproduces in 1.11.0-beta1 and that the umlauted letters still look different from the normal letters in the default spritefont:

I've moved this issue to OpenGFX, as it's not (technically) an issue with OpenTTD - the sprite font has a fixed height, and OGFX isn't respecting it for the umlauted characters
