When using NewGRF roadtypes, a player can convert town-owned roads to a different roadtype when their company has a sufficient local authority rating.
This means that building a drive-through road station of a different roadtype than the town road should convert the road to the selected roadtype and build the station.
Actual result
The action fails with a non-descriptive error message.
Steps to reproduce
Using a NewGRF roadtype (such as "Unspooled" shown above, available from Bananas), attempt to build a drive-through road station of a different roadtype than the town road, on top of a town road.

I say again.
This problem - the impossibility to build a stop - applies only to the trolleybus line. 2TallTyler didn't even mention it and didn't point out the right steps to reproduce.
Automatically rebuilding the road during the construction of the stop will otherwise make the roads look awful, especially in an online game, if only because city roads change their appearance over time.
