  • builds seem OK (with several reverse dependencies)
  • upstream information looks like it's a compatible update
  • hard to get thorough testing until binaries are in cache.nixos.org

I expect we'll also want something in 20.09, but I'm not sure how much to hurry with that. And 1.7.0 maybe brings a bit too many changes for a stable release, even if no real incompatibilities were announced.
