Dune 2 is sort of viral: if you build a library A with dune 2 that depends on library B that is itself built with dune, then library B must be built with dune 2. As nowadays, some libraries depend on dune 2 (i.e., cannot be built with dune 1), e.g., some JaneStreet libraries at version 0.14 (not in nixpkgs yet), I progressively switch their reverse dependencies to dune 2. |
