The DHCP client implementation ignores the renewal (T1) and rebinding (T2) times set by the server, and instead has a fixed renewal interval of 60s (here).
Renewing earlier than T1 is explicitly allowed by the RFC, but renewing this frequently is a little extreme, and can set off intrusion detection systems (sample size 1...).
