Additionally:

 - patch fpc.cfg with a path to glibc to fix linking errors
 - compile a one-liner at the end to ensure that the compiler actually works

 - use qt4 instead of gtk2 as it has more features (gtk3 is very much wip)
 - lazarus 1.8 will support qt5 so get ready for that
