Converting railtypes under a train #8314

We can move issues! |
I played around with an electric train with two dummy orders in a scenario and found i could change the rail type underneath the train both from electrified to normal railroad as well as from normal railroad to electrified. I did need to manually start the train again after placing the electrified rail beneath it, but that is understandable since the train is stopped and can't be started while its on unpowered rail. |
Not sure how to get a repro on this, only way I know to get a train onto a tile without power is to reload/change newgrfs. Have asked Gwyd for more info. |
If you some how manage to get a train onto a rail tile where it has no power, you are unable to change the railtype underneath it, however if a train is powered on a rail tile you are able to convert it to other railtypes, where it can end up being not powered. It seems that this should work the other way around, to avoid get trains permanently stuck.
