Can you please try setting video_hw_accel = false in openttd.cfg to force OpenTTD to not use hardware acceleration (OpenGL)?

Instead of James103's suggestion, can you please try the latest nightly from https://www.openttd.org/downloads/openttd-nightlies/latest.html and report back?
This will not be compatible with 1.11.1 servers, but will let us know if a couple of tests that have been implemented will resolve/work-around this issue.

You can also switch to nightly via steam (openttd properties, betas).

they had installed new version, it crashes still, I will post below few snippets from their report. Sadly, user is unable to grasp the way how to upload binary dump file - there is need in automatic post-crash dump uploader, I guess.

Try using nightly version (beta channel in steam). The 2 logs are from 1.11.1 release.

gave them link to Nightly build page and instructed them on basic level, they should install auto-updater and let it update to nightly build. Not sure I'm perfect in support service, but I try at least.

Ooh, no, that page is badly out of date. As far as I'm aware none of those Auto updaters work anymore and aren't really supported. Best to send them to the Steam beta channel, especially as they're using that already. It'll look a little like this:

Alternatively, download it directly from https://www.openttd.org/downloads/openttd-nightlies/latest.html

actually they have done it somehow and it works for them now. I will inform them about Beta channel on Steam
