To reproduce:

  • Open glscopeclient, it shows "Connect To Instrument"
  • Fill in driver, transport, path. Do not fill in nickname
  • Press OK
  • GUI hangs

On stderr there's an error:

ERROR: Invalid scope string :rigol:usbtmc:/dev/usbtmc2
