Hello,

Hopefully this is the correct place, this is my first ST3 bug submission. I searched already, but this appears to be a new issue.

Since installing the 3067 Dev Build from Jan 30, I've encountered no less than 20 freezes. I was on 10.10.1 until earlier today when I upgraded to 10.10.2, issue is still there. I'm going to have to downgrade.

I CAN NOT find a way to reproduce it, it just locks up on it's own after a while. One thing that seems to lock it up is coming out of sleep mode on the computer, but it still locks up on it's own outside of that.

Same thing happening to me on Win 8.1 for ST Build 3067.

Just tried it and ST is still freezing.

I have only ST 3067, PackageControl and the following packages:

  • Better CoffeeScript;
  • Sass;
  • RailsCasts Colour Scheme.

P.S.: Also removed the AppData folder before clean install.

I, too, see these freezes with 3067 (fresh install, no packages installed). Everything is back to normal with 3066.

I can, for example, produce a hang every time I type a $ (meant to open a math scope) in a LaTeX buffer. Related to language definitions, maybe?

If you use BracketHighlighter, that may have been the culprit facelessuser/BracketHighlighter#220. Jon changed how the match_selector API method worked, and this caused BH to hang/freeze sublime in certain cases. The issue has been patched now, so if you are using the the latest BH, you shouldn't have a problem (at least with BH) anymore.

Never mind, I see you were only using:

  • Better CoffeeScript;
  • Sass;
  • RailsCasts Colour Scheme.

In that case, I have no idea.

Hi @facelessuser and thanks for the pointer to the BracketHighlighter issue. It fixed the problem for me.

Great! It wouldn't surprise me if some other plugins potentially cause this same issue, but I figured BH was probably it for a lot of people just because of how many people use BH.

@alexwidener, what made you close this?

Closed a bunch of stuff, was on the wrong page, didn't notice. My bad.

Is this still happening as of dev build 3112?

I've been back on OSX for two months now and haven't had a single issue (on 10.11.4) - I would say it's safe to close, I've been running on 3103 since February with no issues.
