CHANGELOG: [Launcher]

New:

  • UserSettings Editor now has "Presets" to select custom performance "like" levels
  • "Enable Alternative WebCalls" added to Settings Screen
    • This allows for changing the method for sending/fetching requests and data
    • Some Connection quality types may need "WithTimeout" to work properly (Enabled/Checked), while many don't (Unchecked, Default).
    • This allows the user to choose based on their experience.
  • SecurityCenter:
    • Allows for user control of executing File/Folder permissions, Firewall and Defender
    • This is changed from "automagically" running which would occasionally hang/close or otherwise prevent the Launcher from loading correctly.

Fixes:

  • Windows 11: Support new 2015-2022 VC Redist as "allowed"
  • RemoteRPC wasn't always correctly displaying accent characters
  • UserSettings editor correctly saves CameraPOV/AudioMode/Transmission values
  • JSON Validation for requests (to catch invalid value fetches)
  • Launcher will now display if a connection/JSON processing issue has happened
  • Verify Hash Downloads now correctly display the current file that is being downloaded
  • Crash for Download Progress on Main Screen and Verify Hash
  • WelcomeScreen Language Selection was incorrectly saving
  • UI controls now 'Invoke' individually, preventing UI freezing
  • DebugScreen now properly shows status of Proxy/RPC being enabled or not (Thanks to Burnsteets)
  • Server Banner image memory leak
  • Add Error code for Insufficient VRAM

Improvements:

  • API Offline/Failover handling results in less delay in the Launcher
  • VC Redist install method to try and wait/catch any errors better
  • Better Logging
  • Logging now recorded in "date - time" stamped sub-folders in 'Logs'
    • Includes Verify and Communications logs
  • Launcher Logs can be cleared in Settings Screen
  • TimeOfDay messaging updated
  • AddServer now allows setting a "Category"
  • UI Adjustments, Grammar/Typo's, Accessibility color adjustment, and Messaging updates
  • Forgot Password now shows a better messaging if launcher encounters an Error
  • Theme support completed, documentation pending
