@lrozanski since this is not happening on master but only on 1.9. can we instead create the pull request for the 1.9.x branch?

* O3-1632:Fix Search fields in the application to  have an orange outline

* Update _overrides.scss

* Apply outline only on focus and update color usage

Apply outline to input focused state only and use the color token from `@carbon/colors`.
